RIBA Awards 2025. East Midlands performs poorly?
The June Edition of the RIBA Journal presented the winners of this prestigious competition. The UK is divided into 13 Regions including Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The East Midlands were bottom with 2 winning entries, one in Derby the other in Nottingham. Next were the North West, Wales and the North East each with 4 winners. London had 38, The East 14, Scotland 11 and the South West 10.
Congratulations to St Mary’s Voluntary Academy in Derby and Pioneer In Nottingham. However, neither included local design practices.
Surely the East Midlands have to do better in 2026?
